PARIS PERFORMANCE forged rims are designed to combine lightness and exceptional strength. Each is subjected to rigorous FEA (Finite Element Analysis) testing to ensure that it meets the load standards required for safe use on the specific vehicle for which it is intended.
All our engineering and manufacturing process is carried out in strict compliance with the ISO 9001 quality management system. We value the quality and safety of our products. We are committed to meeting all required parameters and quality standards for European approvals.
Each of our forged rims is meticulously tuned to meet the exact specifications and performance requirements of your vehicle. While respecting the European ETRTO standards, they are therefore suitable and viable for approvals such as JWL/IA, ETRTO, ECE R124 and TUV.
Raw material :
For the manufacture of PARIS PERFORMANCE rims, we use the best forged aluminum, the lightest, highest quality and strength. The forged aluminum used for manufacturing is 6061 aerospace grade with T6 grade quenching treatment, to give more integrity to the material.
First turning :
For the first step of the machining process, the forged aluminum block is milled all along the outer surface. The rim is milled starting from the outside. Openings are dug and the design of the PARIS PERFORMANCE rim gradually takes shape.
Second turning :
The rim is turned over to work on the inside and extend the work done on the front. Thus, its final shape is revealed.
Milling the holes :
The holes in the pneumatic valve and mounting bolts are milled to the vehicle specifications (PCD) receiving the rims.
Weight loss :
Once the internal milling phase is completed, the rim is turned over again for additional milling which will allow a considerable reduction in weight. In total, almost 70% of the original material is removed during the machining process.
Engraving :
During this step, all the inscriptions are made on the edges of the rim, such as the make, model, technical specifications, size, offset and its numbering which is the ID of each wheel as an original PARIS PERFORMANCE product.
Final turning :
After all the turning, milling and drilling processes, a small amount of excess material is removed to balance the rim in order to eliminate any deformation created throughout the manufacturing process. Wheel imperfections are removed with an accuracy of 0.25 mm.
Quality control :
It is carried out with the highest technology (developed for F1), using a three-dimensional measuring machine with an error tolerance of 0.004 mm. Once the process is complete, each rim is rigorously inspected to ensure that it meets all of the above quality and precision parameters.
To achieve the highest quality finish, each rim is sanded and deburred by hand after
machining. Wheels that receive a brushed finish are sanded with an extended manual process,
lasting up to several hours each, in order to produce a uniform brushed surface on the rim assembly.
The brushed rims reveal the beauty of the forged aluminum grain,
while the major ceramic polishing creates a mirror finish.
After being prepared by hand, all rims are subjected to a cleaning process in
several steps to remove all impurities before powder coating. This process of pre-treatment provides
a more solid and even finish once the paint powder coating applied.
The powder coating system is specially designed for the treatment of rims. We use
advanced components and powders of the highest quality to produce an elegant and
uniform finish that stands the test of time.
Once the powder coating is completed, a final inspection is performed. Although the
obvious concerns about the quality and consistency of the aesthetic finish, a gauge of thickness
film is also used to s'ensure uniformity of the thickness of the powder layer.
Once inspected, each rim is cleaned and packaged for shipment to the customer.
The final manufacturing step is an essential component of our long process, aimed at
ensuring that our customers receive their rims in perfect and neat condition.
Each rim is placed in a specially designed packaging to ensure its safety during transport.
We choose the most suitable materials that offer optimal protection against shocks and vibrations.
Our packaging is designed to reflect the elegance and quality of our products.
Each box is marked with the Paris Performance logo and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity,
attesting to the origin and superior quality of our rims.
To facilitate wheel installation, each package contains detailed instructions and illustrated,
allowing our customers to proceed with a worry-free assembly.
Maintenance tips are also provided, to ensure the longevity of your rims.
We also include all the necessary accessories for the installation of the rims,
such as unique wheel bolts/nuts and hub covers to ensure a complete experience
for our customers.
Before being sealed and shipped, each order undergoes a final quality check
to ensure that all parts are present and in perfect condition. Through our rigorous packaging process,
we are committed to providing our customers with an exceptional experience as soon as their package is opened.
